A trio of Gwinnett athletes earned All-American honors at last weekend’s NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Grayson grad Aliyah Abrams was a first-team All-American in one individual event and one relay, Buford’s Erin Marsh was a second-team All-American in the heptathlon and Archer’s Serenity Douglas was a second-team All-American in a relay.

Abrams, a junior at South Carolina, earned the fourth, first-team All-American award of her career with a fifth-place finish in the 400-meter run in a personal-best 51.13 seconds. She also was on a third-place 1,600 relay for the Gamecocks.

Marsh, a sophomore at Duke, was 10th in the heptathlon with 5,707 points. Her individual finishes in the event included fourth in the 100 hurdles (school-record 13.37 seconds), fifth in the 200 (24.12) and seventh in the long jump (19-8 1/4).

Douglas, a junior, ran on Texas’ eighth-place 400 relay.
