The Gwinnett Stripers, in conjunction with the Atlanta Braves, released their official opening day roster for the 2019 season Wednesday.

The 25-man roster includes seven of the Braves’ top 30 prospects (as rated by MLB.com), including pitchers Mike Soroka (No. 1), Touki Toussaint (No. 6), Kolby Allard (No. 11), Thomas Burrow (No. 18) and Jacob Webb (No. 26), third baseman Austin Riley (No. 5) and catcher Alex Jackson (No. 28).

Left-handed pitcher Luiz Gohara, the No. 10 prospect, is one of three players who will start the season on the injured list.

Gwinnett’s Opening Night roster includes nine players who saw time with a Major League team in 2018: Allard, outfielder Adam Duvall, Soroka, Toussaint, and pitcher Dan Winkler with Atlanta, plus Raffy Lopez (San Diego), Pedro Florimón (Philadelphia), Ryan LaMarre (Minnesota and the Chicago White Sox), and Rafael Ortega (Miami) with other teams.

The roster also includes eight members of the Atlanta Braves’ 40-man roster: Allard, pitcher Grant Dayton, Duvall, Jackson, Soroka, Toussaint, pitcher Jacob Webb and Winkler.

Damon Berryhill will be back for his third season as the Stripers manager when they open the season against the Norfolk Tides on Thursday at Coolray Field.
