Georgia Gwinnett College women’s soccer Lena Balck has received an athletic conference’s Player of the Week award for the first time in her collegiate career, this one from the Continental Athletic Conference.

The junior garnered the conference’s Offensive Player of the Week award after scoring her first two goals of the season across GGC’s three matches for the week.

Balck found the back of the net for the team’s first goal of the match in a win at Point University last Tuesday. The Himmelpforten, Germany, native scored the tying goal with less than three minutes remaining in regulation in last Thursday’s 2-2 draw at the University of Mobile (Ala.).

She attempted eight shots, including six shots on goal during the three matches last week.

Balck helped the Grizzlies post a 1-1-1 record for the week.
