Shiloh Generals (8-AAAAAA)

Coach: Tino Ierulli

Record: 2-5, 2-1 region

Last week: Lost to Buford 37-0

Both of these football teams are in the upper echelon of Region 8-AAAAAA. Dacula shares the region lead with defending state champion Buford at 3-0, while Shiloh and Lanier are right behind at 2-1 in the region, just ahead of 2-2 Winder-Barrow. Those five teams lead the chase for the four state playoff spots from 8-AAAAAA with Central Gwinnett and Habersham trailing at 0-4 in the region.

Dacula went 1-4 to start the season, but has won three straight to open region play against Lanier (54-20), Winder-Barrow (40-15) and Habersham (35-17).

Shiloh had a nice start to region play with victories over Central Gwinnett and Winder-Barrow, then ran into powerhouse Buford last week. Ryan Green had another stellar game against Buford, totaling 11 tackles (three for losses), a sack and a forced fumble for a defense that shut out Winder-Barrow in its previous game.

When: Friday, 7:30 p.m.

Last meeting: Dacula won 51-7 last year

Location: Shiloh High School
