Parkview grad Jack Chambers was named the Big South Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
The Charleston Southern quarterback had 459 yards of offense in a three-point defeat at East Carolina, throwing for 405 yards and two touchdowns and rushing for 54 yards and another score. He completed 38 passes, the second-most in Big South history, on a conference-record 61 attempts. His 83 total plays established a conference record, while his 459 yards are the third-most in a game in Big South history.
He staked Charleston Southern to an early 14-0 lead and nearly completed a comeback victory with a pair of fourth-quarter TDs.
