Soak up some rays at Snellville's Beach Blast

When: Saturday, noon to 5 p.m.
Where: Snellville Town Green, 2342 Oak Road, Snellville
There will be plenty of fun in the sun and sand as Oak Road will be transformed into a beach with 70 tons of soft white sand. DJ Lee will play from noon to 2 p.m. followed by the Ray Howard Band from 2 to 5 p.m.

Enjoy 'Freaky Friday' in Lawrenceville

When: Friday, 7 p.m.
Where: Lawrenceville Lawn, 147 Luckie St, Lawrenceville
Downtown Lawrenceville will host its first Feature Friday with a showing of “Freaky Friday.” Food trucks will be onsite as well.

Take in the Gwinnett Multicultural Festival at Gwinnett Place Mall

When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Gwinnett Place Mall, 2100 Pleasant Hill Rd., Duluth

Admire (and buy) some art at the Suwanee Arts Festival

When: Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.
Where: Suwanee Town Center Park, 330 Town Center Avenue, Suwanee
The festival features a juried exhibition of fine art and crafts from vendors across the area. The event features high quality art of various media, including painting, ceramics, photography, sculpture, wood, jewelry and glass.
There will also be live artist demonstrations, stage entertainment and a kid’s animation academy.

Have some laughs with Bill Bellamy at the Atlanta Comedy Theater

When: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, all shows at 7 p.m.
Where: Atlanta Comedy Theater, 4650 Jimmy Carter Boulevard, Norcross
Using his experiences growing up in Newark, Bill Bellamy started doing stand-up while he was a student at Rutgers University. Bellamy quickly discovered how much he enjoyed making people laugh, and began honing his skills at small comedy clubs around the country and was soon making waves in the New York clubs like The Improv, The Comic Strip, and at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles.
Shows are 21 and over.
Tickets are $32.50 to $42.50.

Feed your face at Food Truck Friday in Duluth

When: Friday, 6 to 9 p.m.
Where: Duluth Town Green, 3142 Hill St., Duluth
Food trucks will be there along with live entertainment on the Festival Center Stage and in Parsons Alley from 6 to 9 p.m.
