Vulcan Materials Company will host the fourth annual Vulcan Materials Quarry Crusher Run on Saturday. Proceeds from the race benefit the Gwinnett County Public Schools Foundation Fund, specifically supporting schools in the Meadowcreek cluster.

There are three race categories, Single Crusher (3.7 miles, $40 registration fee), the Double Crusher (7.4 miles, $50 registration fee) or the Half Crusher (1.8 miles, $40 registration fee) run/walk to the bottom and then ride a van back to the top. Registration is open online now on QuarryCrusherRun.com.

Package rates are available for participants who want to run more than one of the six race series. Discount codes for members of the military, first responders, teachers, students and participants ages 12-18.

The Vulcan Materials Quarry Crusher Run is now in nine cites in the U.S. It started in Columbia, S.C., and features a 3.7-mile race that takes runners from the top of the quarry to the bottom and then back to the top. Participants will descend more than 600 feet on the way down, experiencing a grade incline on average of 10%.
