Two of Gwinnett County’s four Delta Community Credit Union branches recently held a joint birthday party to celebrate turning 10 this past month.

The branches in Buford and Suwanee hit the decade mark in November and celebrated the occasion during the party, which was held on Nov. 15. The Suwanee branch is located at the Kroger at 2121 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road, while the Buford branch is located in the Kroger at 3300 Hamilton Mill Road.

“These two branches have a lot in common,” Delta Community CEO Hank Halter said in a statement. “Both provide superior service to our 28,000 members who live and work in Gwinnett County, and the employees who work at our Buford and Suwanee branches deserve credit for the success we enjoy as we celebrate this 10 year milestone.”

The Buford and Suwanee branches are not the only Delta Community locations in Gwinnett County that turned 10 in 2018, however. Officials at the credit union said the Duluth branch marked the 10th anniversary of its opening in October.

The credit union’s fourth Gwinnett branch is located in Snellville.

Joan James is the branch manager for the Suwanee branch, while Emily Browning manages the Buford branch.

James has seen how the credit union works with many of its Gwinnett customers. In addition to becoming the head of the Suwanee location two months ago, she previously worked at the Snellville branch and she praised getting to work in the county where she lives.

“I’m a people person,” said James. “I’m looking forward meeting our neighbors and business partners in Suwanee, and learning how we can invest our time and treasure in this vibrant community.”

In all, Delta Community Credit Union has 28 locations in metro Atlanta and three locations in other states. The credit union said it also has branches in Cobb County and Newnan that turn 10 this year.
