Gwinnett County police officers are on the scene where a train crashed into a tractor trailer in Downtown Buford.
The incident happened on Silas King Street at West Main Street at 5:28 a.m.on Thursday.
Authorities say the trailer portion of the truck was stuck on the tracks. The train operator saw the truck and slowed the train, so the impact occurred at slow speed.
There were minor injuries.
Clean-up of the tractor trailer’s cargo, recycled rubber, took several hours, and just before noon, police said the road re-opened to traffic.
