Police: Victims of double homicide in Peachtree Corners were brothers

Gwinnett County police have confirmed two deceased victims of a fatal shooting that occurred in Peachtree Corners on Thursday were brothers and a third shooting victim who survived the incident was their cousin.

The deceased victims have been identified as Billy Roy Thurman, 25, and William Thurman, 17. Their cousin Beonka Thurman, 27, was shot in the foot and is expected to survive. Police were called to The Park at Peachtree apartment complex, 3341 Peachtree Corners Circle, where the shooting occurred at 4 a.m. and found the family members in the laundry room.

All three are from Winder and were visiting a family member who lived at the apartment complex. Beonka Thurman made the 9-1-1 call to police.

No one has been charged in the shooting and police have not yet been able to determine a motive.
