Lilburn police are looking for a man who pointed a gun at another man after getting caught stealing his wallet.

According to a Facebook post, the suspect initially stole a man’s wallet out of his truck, which was parked at a construction site on Lawrenceville Highway.

“The victim saw the suspect in his truck and confronted him,” a the post said. “The suspect ran to his vehicle and proceeded to exit the parking lot. As the suspect drove by the victim he produced a black handgun and pointed it at the victim.”

The suspect then drove to the Walmart on Lawrenceville Highway, where surveillance showed two men exiting the suspect vehicle.

“Both males attempted to complete a transaction using the victim’s credit and debit cards,” the post said. “Both transactions were declined.”

The suspect vehicle is a black Chevrolet Malibu. Investigators are asking anyone who recognizes the car or men to email vdifatta@cityoflilburn.com or call 770-638-2181.
