Pappadeaux eyeing May opening for Lawrenceville location

Fans of Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen won’t have to wait too much longer for the restaurant chain’s new location in Lawrenceville to open.

Officials at the restaurant said they are looking at opening in May, but an exact date for when that will happen is a little harder to pin down. The restaurant has not yet received its certificate of occupancy — which it needs to open and begin serving customers — so officials can’t confirm reports of a May 15 grand opening date.

Regardless of when it opens, the restaurant will be located right off Interstate 85, at 2038 Duluth Highway in Lawrenceville. That puts it next to a PGA Tour Superstore and close to Sugarloaf Mills.

When the Lawrenceville Pappadeaux location opens, it will be the restaurant chain’s second location in Gwinnett County. It already operates a restaurant in Norcross.
