A primary care practice that has locations on the west coast and in the northeast has made its way to Georgia, recently debuting one of its new offices in Lawrenceville.
On Wednesday, Iora Primary Care held a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony at its Gwinnett location, which is on Sugarloaf Parkway in the Sugarloaf Crossing Shopping Center, next to Publix.
The health system has two other Georgia locations, in Tucker and Decatur.
“I chose Iora because it allows me to practice medicine the way that I always wanted to,” Lawrenceville-location Medical Director Harendra Fernando said at Wednesday’s ribbon cutting. “I found my dream job that lets me care for my patients.”
A doctor’s office for adults on Medicare that invests in relationships with people to help them live happier and healthier, Iora Primary Care is built on “genuine relationships” and the goal of treating the whole person, a news release said.
At Iora, each patient gets a team dedicated to their care, including a physician or nurse practitioner, health coach and team nurse.
Together, the team spends more time with patients, listens to them and address their questions, concerns and goals.
