Say ‘no’ to MARTA

I voted no to MARTA. Not only does it not go from where I am, it does not go to where I want to go. But maybe, perhaps, if I’m lucky, I might possibly get limited bus service in a decade or so.

I live in the “Shahara Desert” part of Gwinnett County that has long been deprived of many services and considerations accorded to the rest of the county. Just look at my crumbling street.

I further resent that Gwinnett County commissioners refused to even place the simple word of “MARTA” on the ballot. I object that this single-issue ballot is guaranteed to attract mostly MARTA supporters. Until the Gwinnett County Commission is honest with us and is fair-handed with my section of the county, then they can “go fish.”
