Though Georgia’s postpartum hemorrhage statistics are concerning, several dozen hospitals across the state are working to lower those numbers — and one local hospital is succeeding.

Through its participation in the Georgia Perinatal Quality Collaborative, or GaPQC, and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses Postpartum Hemorrhaging Project, Gwinnett Medical Center is lowering its postpartum hemorrhage numbers, which were already well below average.
