Gwinnett County road crews were cleaning debris on Skyland Drive in Snellville on June 14.
The effort to keep the road near South Gwinnett High School litter free began with a request from Snellville Mayor Pro Tem Dave Emanuel for Public Works Director Gaye Johnson to see what could be done about the county-maintained road.
The county promptly responded, according to a press release, by sending a crew.
“It is great to see Gwinnett County respond to Snellville’s request when called upon,” Emanuel said. “This is a true example of two entities working together to better serve our residents. We greatly appreciate their help. This is how government is supposed to work.”
