Burger 21 is coming to Snellville — again.

The burger chain announced it will reopen its Snellville location nearly a year to the day after it abruptly closed a few months after it opened. In a recent post on the restaurant’s Facebook page, Burger 21 owner Corley Steward announced the reopening is set for Monday. It will also come with a new look for the store, which is located at 1575 Scenic Highway.

“Following the success of our Mall of Georgia and Johns Creek locations, and with over a year of planning, my family and I have renovated and will reopen the Snellville location,” Steward said in the post. “We are elated to bring our culture with the ‘Best Burger Experience Ever’ to the Snellville community.

“We are committed to deliver you delicious food and genuine hospitality in a clean environment.”

The location originally opened last summer, but it suddenly closed on Aug. 20, 2016, after more than two months in operation. Burger 21 officials said at the time that the store was closed because of “non-compliance with the franchise’s brand standards,” and new owners were being sought.

That led to Steward taking over the location.
