“Uptown Funk,” a Bruno Mars Tribute Band, played at the Mark Burkhalter Amphitheater at Newtown Park on May 31 as part of the city’s summer concert series at the park, which continues through Oct. 5.
The lineup for the rest of the summer and on into the fall is as follows:
Aug. 3 — Edwin McCain;
Sept. 7 — TRIBUTE – a celebration of The Allman Brothers Band & the Core: Clapton Live; and
Oct. 5 — Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra.
According to Johns Creek’s website, the Mark Burkhalter Amphitheater is a 10,600 square-foot open-air amphitheater that provides “a spacious venue for city-sponsored events … (and) features stacked stone and arches of southern pine.”
Concerts are rain or shine. If it rains, attendees are welcome to bring umbrellas. No pop-up tents will be allowed. Concerts are subject to delay if weather becomes severe.
