CITY OF BUFORD, GEORGIA BUFORD, GEORGIA BUFORD MULTI-USE TRAIL ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids for the construction of the Buford Multi-Use Trail will be received by the City of Buford, Georgia, at Buford City Hall located at 2300 Buford Highway, Buford, Georgia, 30518 until 2:00 P.M. local time on October 2, 2019, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of constructing approximately 0.5 miles of multi-use trail, including sections of wooden boardwalk, along with an asphalt parking area. A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference for all bidders will be held at the City of Buford, Georgia at City Hall located at 2300 Buford Highway, Buford, Georgia 30518 at 10 A.M. local time on September 25, 2019. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Keck & Wood, Inc. 3090 Premiere Parkway, Suite 200 Duluth, Georgia 30097 Phone: (678) 417-4000 Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9 A.M. and 4 P.M., and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Bidding Documents also may be examined at the following locations: City of Buford Dodge Data & Analytics City Hall 2300 Buford Highway Buford, GA 30518 Construct Connect Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Bidding Documents are available on electronic media (as portable document format (PDF) files) for a non-refundable charge of $25.00. Alternatively, printed Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office either via in-person pick-up or via mail, upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment for the Bidding Documents. The non-refundable cost of printed Bidding Documents is $75.00 per set, payable to Keck & Wood, Inc., plus a non-refundable shipping charge. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder's delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the total bid amount. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 calendar days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. No proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by satisfactory evidence that the Bidder holds either a Georgia State Contractor's License or qualifications with the Georgia Department of Transportation for similar work, in compliance with Act. O.C.G.A. 43 14 and 43-41. Failure to provide the bidder's license or qualification number on the outside of the sealed proposal will result in rejection of the bid. If the Contract is to be awarded, Owner will award the Contract on the basis of the base bid or the alternate bid. Bidder must comply with O.C.G.A. 13-10-91, stating affirmatively that the individual, firm, or corporation has registered with, is authorize to use and used the federal work authorization program commonly known as E-Verify. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time of 120 calendar days. Owner shall make progress payments on account of the Contract Price on the basis of Contractor's Applications for Payment submitted once per month as provided in the General Conditions.
