Catherine Colleen Cogan and John Marshall Penn were married March 22 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Atlanta. The Rev. Father Ralph Olek, S.M. officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Patricia Lynn and John Anthony Cogan of Atlanta. She is a graduate of Marist High School, Agnes Scott College, where she received a bachelor’s degree and Georgia State University where she received a master’s degree in French. She is employed with Girls Preparatory School in Chattanooga, Tenn., as a French teacher.

The groom is the son of Nancy and William Scott Penn III of Buford. He is the graduate of Dacula High School and Georgia State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in marketing. He is employed with Publix in customer service.

Mary-Bridget Schneider of Atlanta served as the matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Sarah Penn of Buford, Erin Mace, Kelly, Meghan and Kerry Cogan, all of Atlanta.

Jason Marlowe of Loganville served as the best man. Groomsmen were Aaron Penn of Buford, Johnathan and Jean Beicher, both of Winder and Timothy Schneider of Atlanta.

After a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple resides in Chattanooga.
