Candidates vying for the Republican nomination for Public Service Commission, District 3 will face off Sunday during the Atlanta Press Club’s Loudermilk-Young Debate Series.
Incumbent Chuck Eaton and Matt Reid are invited to appear at the debate, which will air statewide on Georgia Public Broadcasting at 4:30 p.m. Sunday. The winner of the July 31 primary will face Democrat Stephen Oppenheimer in the Nov. 8 general election.
Scheduled panelists for the debate are Bill Liss of WXIA-TV, Kristi Swartz of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Dave Williams of the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Deidra Dukes, of WAGA-TV, will moderate. Afterward, the debate will be archived on the Atlanta Press Club’s website.
Other debates airing Sunday are Public Service Commission, District 5 (Republican); Third Congressional District (Republican); 10th Congressional District (Republican); and 12th Congressional District (Republican). Six more debates are scheduled for July 29.
