The lineup for the CounterPoint Music Festival has been announced and it is heavy on the dance and electronica with a side of hip-hop. It looks like a good counterpoint to Music Midtown. If you like older, established bands, Music Midtown is for you and if you like newer, underground bands, CounterPoint is your festival.
The festival is Sept. 27-29 in Fairburn and tickets go on sale Friday. A three-day pass will cost you $165-$180 depending if you are camping or not.
Here is the full lineup for CounterPoint:
Bassnectar, Skrillex, Pretty Lights, AVICII, Steve Angello, M83, Excision, Laidback Luke, Alesso, Crystal Castles, Big Boi, Zeds Dead, Ghostland Observatory, Wale, Big Gigantic, A-Trak, Atmosphere, Toro Y Moi, Lotus, Feed Me, MiM0sa, Washed Out, Zedd, R3HAB, Theophilus London, Reptar, 12th Planet, Beats Antique, Super Mash Bros, Emancipator, Polica, Savoy, Death Grips, Alvin Risk, Zoogma, Paper Diamond, Treasure Fingers, Gramatik, Archnemesis, Lance Herbstrong, 3LAU, The M Machine, Michal Menert, Mr. MFN eXquire, Tokimonsta, SuperVision, Com Truise, Paul Basic, Nick Catchdubs, Audrey Napoleon, Street Lurkin, Mantis, DJ Mel, Skrause
I don’t know much about these bands. But the names are pretty fun. There is Skrillex and Skrause, M83, R3HAB and 3LAU, Zedd and Zeds Dead and my favorite Com Truise.
Of the two music festivals in September, I’ll be attending Music Midtown but I am curious if any of you are thinking about going to CounterPoint.
