In honor of the cold I have today, I thought I would share something viral. Don't worry, the only thing you will catch is a smile. Here are some of my current favorite viral videos that I watched while trying to kick this cold.
This is my favorite video right now. It is technically a commercial but it is on YouTube so it counts as coming from the Internet. From Volkswagon, the company that brought you the tiny Darth Vader who tries to use the force all around the house, comes The Bark Side:
When I first saw this commercial, I wasn't paying attention. I was doing something else and thought to myself, “Man those dogs are barking a lot.” Then I realized what they were barking and it was awesome. I had to immediately go to the Web to see the whole thing. Once I heard all of it, I had to watch it again to look at all the costumes. All of the dogs represent someone from “Star Wars” and figuring out who they are is half the fun. Although I'm still not sure who the brown weimaraner-looking dog in the back is supposed to be. This commercial is actually a teaser trailer to the Super Bowl commercial so I can't wait to see what that is. The Darth Vader one was my favorite Super Bowl commercial last year.
This next video was featured on “Modern Family.”
The Dunphys go viral ...
While some people were upset that Lily said a bad word on TV, they missed Phil getting autotuned trying to explain last year's Valentine's Day shenanigans. Take a look at who posted it.
And here's my last one ...
This is the Canadian band Walk Off the Earth covering Goyte's (prononced Goatee-Yay allegedly) “Somebody that I used to know” in a pretty intersting way.
This band does a lot of covers in interesting ways and has some original songs. They are worth checking out on YouTube.
Hope you had fun watching the videos. What are your favorite viral videos right now?

Pretty sure the big brown dog is Ben Kenobi.
It's not new by any means, but my favorite viral vid remains "Baby Leader": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mR51fG...
