Wow TimKenyon. You are amazing. So compassionate. 12 shots and you defend this action? Would you feel that way if it were your child? Bullet holes in 2nd story and councelors car? Glad I wasn't anywhere near that scene. Sounds like real professional, well trained people. Did YOU go inside the home? Were YOU there? I wasn't thank God. Drive by the house and check out the memorial on your way to church next sunday. Tell me what you think. No, don't tell me. I don't want to be associated with someone like you that is excited about this. I'm sure they are strong Christians. You know. Sort of like you.
12 shots? Sounds like even Chuck Norris wouldn't survive that. That is 12 shots on a small kid. His parents are not around because they have issues that made Dontree stay in custodial care with his grandmother. So I'd guess by what you're saying is that the kid deserved to die because he lost it? Is that right?
Stay relieved. The truth will come out on this my friend. It is obvious that you knew Dontree. If not done aready, demand an interview and tell your story as it is obvious you were there. If the cops are guilty of an illegal shooting well then they need to pay for it. If not, all we have is a dead 15 year old the week before Christmas. Anyone who applauds this should imagine if he was a son, grandson or other realative how they might feel..
not quite a man yet. Nor will he ever become one. You're so compassionate.
For what it's worth. My understanding from witnessess is that the boy dropped the knife before....that's BEFORE the shots were fired. So what's the deal on that? Hope your paper compiles a follow up report on the exact nature of this and the followup with the policemen involved. Perhaps someone should interview the grandmother. Now that would be good journalism.
I'll keep looking for follow ups. I am geting off this comment page now. I've had enough.
I don't watch those shows. Seems like you may though and police do take marksmenship classes. No, they aren't snipers but I wonder what you'd say if you knew him.
The kid actually looks younger than 15 and he lived there. My bowels are just fine and thanks for asking.
Mr. Mustard etc. Are you for real? Talk about watching too much CSI. You must be into THE VIEW or some other liberal junk. Nobody won here buddy....Not you, not me or anyone else that posted. Not the cops and certainly not the kid. And by the way. Police ARE trained to be skillful with weapons. No sense shooting off his ears as you say. A leg would have done. Nope....I wasn't there and neither were you. News said he was shot 5 times. FIVE times. Guess you would probably say he deserved it huh?
You say it could have been avoided yourself. Let's let the lawmen take care of the lawmen and the grandmother take care of burying her grandson. How can you congratulate the GPD when I'm sure none of those guys are congratulating eachother.
OK. Now you have the real story but why the excessive force? Is shoot to kill s.o.p.? A leg shot would have stopped his "full dead sprint" wouldn't you agree?
This machete weilding "man" was a 15 year old, mentally challenged boy. I trust there will be an investigation on this. This is outrageous! How many policeman does it take to shoot a mentally challenged kid in his driveway without a gun!
My understanding is the result was the death of this kid. Sleep well and may your holidays be happy.
