Checked with a few people I know who are in the know. Looks like the judge only ruled on a few things not everything that the lawsuit is about. Hey Karl maybe your right the looney toon mayor just like to lose lawsuits. I hear she has a lot of experience at that because she is as bad a lawyer as she is a mayor.
The State of the City address was more like a State of the Kautz address. Kind of sounded like a campaign speech and found it amusing that she took credit for things she voted against. Then there are her grand and glorious plans that anybody with a lick of economic sense knows the city doesn't have funds for. The mayor seems to think that hiring a grant writer is all that is necessary to get the millions of dollars her plans would cost.I guess she hasn't heard about the economy being in the tank. Hang on Snellville tax payers the mayor wants to take you for a wild ride at your expense.
So this is the same mayor who cut off a person trying to speak at a meeting. That wound up getting on all the Atlanta tv stations when it happened and last week when the city announced a $15,000 cost for settling a free speech lawsuit. Lord only knows how much she has cost the city by giving it a bad name. Now she's back yelling and screaming and giving the city a bad name again. Probably not gonna change until she gets kicked out. Look at the video. She acts like a spoiled little child who isn't getting her own way. This woman has serious psychological problems.
This story isn't just sad, it's sickening. It doesn't matter what the terms of the loan are, Dr. Peterson and this farm provide a tremendous service for the community. This place literally changes lives and the people who operate it should be given the opportunity to continue. It's a simple matter to renegotiate the loan. If HSBC Bank won't do anything to help, people who use that bank should take their business elsewhere.
A lot of good ideas came out of this meeting so I hope the problem can be fixed very soon. It really is a mess for a lot of people. And a big thank you to Mayor Pro Tem Witts for running the meeting so well. He made people feel welcome and encouraged them to say what was on their mind and treated them respectfully. What a nice change from the way meetings are usually run.
Another Kautz fraud. She voted against every form of economic development then when new companies move in and things go well she tries to take credit. She brags about this committee that has done nothing for almost a year and she wants to give away taxpayer money for incentives to bring in new business. Verizon came to Snellville with no incentive. Academy Sports came to Snellville with no incentive. Walmart came to Snellville with no incentive. Olive Garden came to Snellville with no incentive. I hope the other Council members have more sense than this poor excuse for a mayor and don't give away my tax dollars. I'm really sick of this mayor abusing the taxpayers.
teelee I think you missed something. The council tore down a brick wall it didn't put one up. Before the vote last night you had to pay for the whole year. The council voted to make licenses fees pro-rated so if you only pay for the license from the day it's issued till the end of the year. They also gave businesses three months to pay the fee to make it easier on businesses. If you apply on Jan 1 you have until March 31 to pay. All this is on the city web site so you can see it for yourself just like I did. You should check your facts before you post.
This isn't the first time Mr. Estep has written an article with a misleading headline. I guess he is more concerned with getting people to read his articles than he is with integrity. There is nothing here but old news which is really no news. As others have pointed out Anderson is a fraud. I hope someone does the work to find out who is paying him.
Beaudreau supportes will get the last laugh. Sooner or later Hunter will show his true colors. He is backed by the Bannister-Kennerly bunch and has already tried to pull some things that would even make Balfour blush. You Hunter guys got what you wanted. Hope you enjoy living with it.
