Kevin the voters got snookered by Kautz and her supporters. They told a lot of lies. Wait for this next election and you will see it all again. Its all about a power grab. The people behind Kautz are trying to get control so they can use the city's money for their own purposes. Ever notice how Kautz always wants a high millage rate?

Looks like to me biggest problem is she doesn't care about right or wrong. Period. She just cares about what she wants. Look at the history. She calls people out of order when she thinks they will say something she doesn't want she hires and fires lawyers like some people change shoes. Now it looks like she hired a lawyer for herself and paid for it with city money and bought herself a training course and paid for it with city money too. What else has she done we dont know about.

I wish I had the inside information so I could answer your questions. Here's what I know from going to council meetings and watching videos of council meetings and talking to people who know what going on. Kautz is backed by the old group that used to call all the shots in Snellville. The names I hear are Emmett Clower Wayne Odom Warren Auld Randy Simpson Dwight Harrison. Talk to people who ran for election back in the day and they tell you about all the threats and games that these people and others used to pull. One person told me they threatened his son or daughter. These people are still playing their games and use the current mayor as their mouthpiece.

Now all of this is what I guess is called hearsay. Even so I look at it as where there is smoke there is fire. I keep reading stuff from Gwinnett Ethics and I think those people have some real evidence. Like you I am sad about what is going on and I hope it changes. I guess the voters have to decide whether they want people who really care about the city or people who just want to be big shots and I agree with you that the people to blame are the ones who sit back and do nothing and don't know what is going on in the city they live in.

SurelyNot-- Surely not. Unless you are completely out of touch, or a just a hack, you should be aware that all the negative stuff begins with one person the mayor Kautz. Four members of the council bust their rears trying to bring good things to the city and Kautz always gets in the way and turns positives to negatives. She voted aginst the Farmers Market against the community garden against the mobile stage and she is trying to do what she can to get in the way of the new veteran monument. Snellvilles leadership isnt an embarrassment only the mayor and her sidekick lapdog.

Checked with a few people I know who are in the know. Looks like the judge only ruled on a few things not everything that the lawsuit is about. Hey Karl maybe your right the looney toon mayor just like to lose lawsuits. I hear she has a lot of experience at that because she is as bad a lawyer as she is a mayor.

The State of the City address was more like a State of the Kautz address. Kind of sounded like a campaign speech and found it amusing that she took credit for things she voted against. Then there are her grand and glorious plans that anybody with a lick of economic sense knows the city doesn't have funds for. The mayor seems to think that hiring a grant writer is all that is necessary to get the millions of dollars her plans would cost.I guess she hasn't heard about the economy being in the tank. Hang on Snellville tax payers the mayor wants to take you for a wild ride at your expense.

So this is the same mayor who cut off a person trying to speak at a meeting. That wound up getting on all the Atlanta tv stations when it happened and last week when the city announced a $15,000 cost for settling a free speech lawsuit. Lord only knows how much she has cost the city by giving it a bad name. Now she's back yelling and screaming and giving the city a bad name again. Probably not gonna change until she gets kicked out. Look at the video. She acts like a spoiled little child who isn't getting her own way. This woman has serious psychological problems.

This story isn't just sad, it's sickening. It doesn't matter what the terms of the loan are, Dr. Peterson and this farm provide a tremendous service for the community. This place literally changes lives and the people who operate it should be given the opportunity to continue. It's a simple matter to renegotiate the loan. If HSBC Bank won't do anything to help, people who use that bank should take their business elsewhere.

A lot of good ideas came out of this meeting so I hope the problem can be fixed very soon. It really is a mess for a lot of people. And a big thank you to Mayor Pro Tem Witts for running the meeting so well. He made people feel welcome and encouraged them to say what was on their mind and treated them respectfully. What a nice change from the way meetings are usually run.
