CD I've always pulled the party lever. But NDAA was enough for me. Allowing the government to detain US citizens without due process is fundamentally unamerican. He proved what he thought of regular citizens. Although we were assured only terrorists would be detained. So far just ex military people that complained about the president are the only ones that it has been used on.

Although I usually vote Republican. Rob Woodall voted for NDAA, a law that suspends the constitution on individuals the government deems it desirable. No thanks Rob. I'd vote for anyone other than you for that reason alone.

Kevin, I believe everyone on this forum acknowledged this is tragic. It goes without saying, or I believe it does, that his family was included in the definition of "tragic" or "tragedy". A crime wasn't committed that I can tell. Only a terrible accident. Charging her with a misdemeanor was a judgement call. It is just my opinion that it wasn't the best call. That was my point. She will pay for this emotionally forever. The charge was unnecessary. Again, my opinion.

As awful as the loss of a young talented life is, this doesn't seem right. Arresting this 18 year old girl. Her life has changed forever anyway. This appears to just be a tragic accident, not a criminal act. Is this what we've sunk to? When someone that made headlines when they were taken from us tragically means someone has to pay like a criminal? I hope they rethink what they are doing and why. Unless she was texting, drinking, etc, this was simply an accident. Awful yes, tragic yes, and life changing for so many, yes. Lets not make it worse by completely ruining another young life. Nothing will bring this awesome young man back. And nothing will make this young lady forget that she was at fault in this terrible accident.
