As long as you "don't care what use of force" a cop uses, I wish you well. You are advocating the type of police power that was evident in South Africa during Apartheid. And I doubt that his prior arrest record was known at the time of this incident - it was just police work as usual, I presume.
And now your assumption is incorrect. I don't dislike cops doing their jobs properly. My five or so contacts with GCPD have been pleasant and frequently informative. BUT, I take a dim view of questionable actions, or illegal actions, or unnecessary use of force by cops, And these cases, when "investigated" by Internal Affairs, are usually ruled to exonerate the offenders.
I disagree since I saw a film of that occurrence by the AtlantaPD several years ago (on Channel 3 Comcast). You seem to be the type of person that condones anything a cop does....you'd probably be tragically upset by today's finding about the three animals who kicked and punched a prisoner repeatedly will lose their "Certification".
That's not an answer to my query, but a provocation. Do you have anything pertinent or mature to say in response to my question or do you have some other agenda in mind?
Now that was well said Lilburn gal. I'm still laughing. But watch out....Beaudreau has some boyfriends who get riled up when they hear his name taken in vain.
Good going, Tommy H. Your predecessor would have solved the problem by contracting a high-priced service and passing the cost to the taxpayers. People who grow up on farms learn how to solve problems quickly and cheaply; their livelihood depends on it.

How true! Our demographics have changed drastically since 1980, and not for the better it seems.
