That's irrelevant. I believe gay couples should be able to make health decisions for their partners in case of incapacitation (one of the benefits of marriage) and be able to stay with their partners in ICUs and all other health care facilities (another marriage benefit.) Why shouldn't they?
Please provide a good reason (therefore, one not associated with religion or bigotry) why consenting adults should not be allowed to enter into marriage, regardless of sexual orientation.
Hmm, I don't think you're using "hater" appropriately. It's more apt for those denying equality to others.
The legal rights and benefits afforded by marriage, i.e.tax, government, and medical benefits, etc.
Because his opinion calls for inequality. He is for denying rights to other human beings (rights that he himself enjoys) because of his personal beliefs.
There were probably many groups that they didn't have in mind. But they realized this and wrote it to protect the unforeseen.
