Obama did not save this country, nor did he really save GM or Chrysler. The only thing he saved were the unions. Even Michael Moore, the ultra left leaning film maker & Obama supporter, was quoted recently as saying Obama did not save Detroit - "These cities in Michigan are about the people who live here, and in the process of 'saving Detroit,' Mr. Obama had to fire thousands of these people, and reduce the benefits and pensions of those who were left." Mr. Moore went on to say ""There's a lot of pissed off people in Michigan (and Wisconsin and Ohio), people who weren't saved even though the corporation was. I'm just stating a fact, and those of you who don't live here should know this." How ironic that Obama did the same thing he accuses Mitt Romney of at Bain Capital.
And with your quota by race logic, the NBA should be 77% white and 13% black.
David Brown, the fact is that the black population in America is only 13% and yet at the Democratic convention, it will probably be skewed close to 50%. You seem obsessed with the race card instead of the actual policies of the parties.
DavidBrown, the main ones you will be seeing at the democratic convention are SEIU members (union) that are being bussed to Charlotte by the Obama campaign because they can't fill the arena; in fact, it was reported in the Atlanta Business Chronicle on Friday that free tickets to the convention were available for pick up at Manual's Tavern or the Democratic Party office in Macon.
The tasteless, tacky liberal comments about Clint's age being thrown about today just show the total hypocrisy of the Democratic party that claims to be about protecting senior citizens. On the one hand, liberals are trying to scare & manipulate seniors by showing ads with granny being pushed off a cliff in a wheelchair and the next minute the libs are bashing Eastwood as having dementia. If they want to criticize him for his comments, that's fine, but to bash him for his age, just shows how desperate and mean spirited they really are.
I agree with you Bleudog, kind of like all the articles written recently, claiming that requiring voter ID is somehow "racist". Interesting that its been 22 years since the cited article was written and obviously the Justice Department didn't have a strong enough case to get the law overturned. I am sure Eric Holder has it on his to-do list!
So, David Brown, is Mike Beaudreau now claiming to be black? I do not see any connection between the history of the majority requirement and Mike losing this runoff. If anyone had an advantage going into this race, it was clearly the incumbent.
Somehow both of the judges in the two other races on the ballot managed to win convincing majorities in the runoff, so I am just not buying Mikey's low turnout excuse. In typical Beaudreau narcissism, he now wants the General Assembly to reconsider the 50% majority rule, because he lost a race he thought he would easily win. How dare those voters not reelect him!
I do notice he did not mention his socialist trash plan or the boondoggle stadium as improvements that bring him "solace". Mikey, do you think that your actions to increase the size of government might of had something to do with your defeat? The voters looked at your big spending, anti free market record and noticed it did not match up with your claim as a fiscal conservative. Another RINO bites the dust. Buh-bye, Mikey!
Interesting responses Rocket1300, considering your recent lecture to chastise others from expressing their opinions. I guess it's a case of do as I say, not as I do, huh?

"Oh boy, I'd expected a lot more class from my fellow republicans but sadly, they are showing here that they are just sore winners. Shame on you children for being such children. You cyber commando's know who you are. You'd never show such ignorance in person, so you hide behind here."
Floyd, I think the Scientologists are coming to take you back to the compound.
