I happen to know Sabrina personally and can testify to her honest and professional concerns over the management of our public affairs, both locally and nationally.
I find it a sad comment on our officials that they care so little about transparency and accountability to those who put them in office.
Sabrina, is a qualified accountant, and knows budgetary practices; I have to ask you - how can you ignore her concerns? Her questions list just gets longer with every evasive answer.
My only conclusion must be - you don't care what the public think.
Please prove me wrong. Please show you care - be accountable - or - we vote.
This episode stinks of fishy numbers.
I have NEVER heard of a Return of Investment that produced $800 million out of a couple of employees!
Could somebody please get the number of these employees so I can hire them?
Or are they Madoff's buddies?
Second thoughts. If it's too good to be true - it's a lie.
Third thoughts. If it's true - show us an' blow your trumpet. "Great job" I would say!
quote, " increasing the funds we have to put toward teaching and learning".
Really? What a facile buzz phrase! MORE money for education....
If that were true, we would have the finest education in the world. I wonder why we have one of the worst!?
The problem is NOT money. The problem is that the political system is self-serving. That is a polite way of saying corrupt.
The solution? Grass-roots has to take back America from the bottom up. We have a vote and we have to use it.
I say, NO to additional taxes and YES to wiser spending.
