While in the voting booth, voting against T-SPLOST, why not vote our every incumbent on the Board of Commissioners. Maybe they will then understand why the citizens are angry.

The BOC and Gwinnett County will never propose a REDUCED budget EVER. They will tack on fees and increased tax's to keep every thing going. My property tax's increase yearly as the value of my home decreases and if I want move I'll loose the hard earned funds used to purchase. Wake up folks, young and old, you pay for it with tax's and they increase fee's ? Is there anyone who has not tightened their financial belt ? Yes there is, Gwinnett County.

After the fiasco called HOT lanes what does our Government (hic) have in store for us...... As stated the locations of these meetings are for the those employed by the CID. No one will show up and they will propose 1) More high speed rail 2) Additional HOT lanes......... Doesn't it get sickening to have the government stuff things down your throat or reach into your nearly empty wallet ?

Go for it Gov. Deal, get those dollars you need to increase government spending. Oh you will also end most internet purchases from Georgia. Now get to work on Gambling in the state. Government is never satisfied with what they have and continue to overspend. I wonder where this will all end.....

Professor Walt should move to one of the other countries he mentions. Perhaps to Iraq ? How about Russia ?

"Setbacks, follies, and boneheaded blunders, If you have any doubts about that, just reflect on how a decade of ill-advised tax cuts, two costly and unsuccessful wars, and a financial meltdown driven mostly by greed and corruption have managed to squander the privileged position the United States enjoyed at the end of the 20th century." Once again caused by whom ? Your subtle injection of the political beliefs, of the democrat party is not without expectation. College Professors, on the most part, have not changed the liberal thinking in the past forty five years. If Professor Walt was not protesting the Vietnam War and calling all "Baby Killers" it was only because of his age.

nag6970 2 years, 5 months ago on What do you think of the county's request to conserve water?

Conserve water and pay more.....Conserve electricity and pay more....Conserve Natural Gas and pay more...... What is the common tie between all of these ????? If you conserve more we will not have to invest in major capital increases in our business and still raise your rates, all while improving the bottom line. Hey Gwinnett County Water let me drill a well on my property.

I thought the federal government was unethical but I would say, on a smaller scale, our commissioners have got them beat. I wonder if any of the board realize that they don't have to make more rules / regulations just because they are on the board. Who has not seen the trash pickup increase in cost. I believe these folks figure, It's on the tax bill and no one will notice. Tax's increasing each and every year to feed the growing beast. I agree with CD, vote new members in at each election.
