There's a pretty big difference between a 25 ton garbage truck and a UPS truck or school bus for that matter. HUGE difference.

proving yet again you do not know Mike. If you did you'd know he doesn't have any paid staff. He has volunteers. And yep I'm one of them. When you can tell me why in the world Tommy Hunter is better than Mike then you might have a leg to stand on. You can't though.

Nicholsony, absolutely not I did not vote for Balfour. I only vote for those I approve of their service. Mike earned my vote everytime. You are clearly out of touch if you think Mike has done a bad job.

Since you're playing guessing games allow me, let me guess you never vote for an incumbent because all politicians are crooked, right? Likely among your wardrobe is an anti-airport shirt, a sign in the garage that you used to protest to have your own chicken coop in your backyard, and only show up at county events to scream and yell never to become informed. You showed up at the forum not to become more informed of the candidates but to cheer on the person you already knew you are supporting. Too bad you're going to be pouting again Wednesday either way... If Mike wins you'll be mad about that, if he loses you'll be pouting when you realize what a HUGE mistake you made voting for the other guy.

Nicholsony, he most certainly did, he specifically said at the Gwinnett GOP forum and the one held at Stars & Striks the sales tax would be for operation of the projects SPLOST funds. There was no skirting around the issue. If one thing is certain it is that Mike does not skirt around issues. Speaking of Forums you'd rather have that guy that looked like was sitting back watching Sunday night football during the debate. WOW! The citizens of Gwinnett owe Mike one thing, a big thank you for his honest service to our county. If you honestly think he hasn't been good for our county then you do NOT know him or anything he has done for the betterment you are only focusing on the popular hot topics of citizens.

Further, I remind you Mike has clearly offered specifics. Have you ever spoken to him about it. I find it amusing all the people that are getting all of their facts from the media alone and not going straight to the source.

The sales tax he has presented is simply so we can fund some of the operational cost of our SPLOST projects. SPLOST funds can only be allocated to building of the proposed projects it is illegal to use the funds for operations. This is why library hours have been cut and recrational fees have been imposed. This will eliminate this without putting the burden on homeowners and frankly utilizing the resources of visitors to the county ie folks who shop from outside of our county at Mall of Georgia, come to Gwinnett Braves games, etc. Any homeowner in Gwinnett should be in favor of this this operational sales tax.
