SPLOST, as in all sales taxes, mean people from outside Gwinnett County will help pay the tax. I personally have no problem with this. People from other places use our facilities and roads, why can't they help pay for them? Why don't liberals understand this?
Because it is logical and makes sense, that's why.

One day hopefully people will understand the corporations don't pay taxes! They simply shift money from one segment of society, US, to the government. If you increase taxes on corporations by whatever means you can think of they will do three things to cover the increase. They will cut workers hours, lay workers off, or raise prices. More than likely they will do a combination of all three. You might as well say you want to raise taxes on us all for education. Cut the corporate tax rates and you will see an increase in government income but I'm sure you aren't smart enough to figure out how this would work. Cut their taxes, they have more money, they hire more people which means more taxpayers, more sales taxes, more tax money or all types because more money is available for people to spend. It is that simple and anyone with any idea of how a capitalistic system works knows it.

Gwinnett already has an SRO officer in every school cluster who has a gun. They have been around for almost 20 years. Many are not retired or former Gwinnett Police officers but all have had law enforcement experience. Some are retired, some just former officers. I know of one who was a former Sheriff in a small town in South Georgia. They are hired by the Gwinnett Bd. of Education not the Gwinnett PD and do a great job.

Maybe the City of Lilburn is run by responsible politicians that have done a good job not over spending. I know that is a novel concept but maybe it is true.

Why does Romney's wealth matter? I would much prefer a man who has built a fortune to a community organizer any day! I think most Americans would also. And by the way, quit the old class warfare line of his income was taxed at 15 per cent. His capital gains tax is 15% NOT his income tax. You get away with this because of the stupidity of the people who agree with the Obama administrations class warfare rhetoric. Why don't you write about his record? Because it is truly pathetic. Class warfare is his only chance and sadly too many parasites of society believe it or agree with it!

Roberts has handed the election to Romney if he and his staff are smart enough to exploit it. He has categorized the penalty for not having healthcare as a "tax". The GOP needs to push hard the fact that the Obama administration has now placed the largest tax increase in the history of humanity on the middle class of America! We only need to look at the hideously incompetent healthcare systems in Europe and Canada to see where we are headed. It's time to wake up America! Socialism or Free-Market?
