I learned the hard way that the best time to mow was after 7. For years, I mowed between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.. Then one day, I mowed at dusk. And I have never gone back unless absolutely necessary. The difference is ridiculous. And I mow in an old pair of Avia's after the soles fell off my old ASICs.
It has been two months since I cut all of mine way back and it looks like it is time to cut it back again. I'm going to try the poisoning method because I'm always afraid it is going to eat my neighbor's house. And that first picture is exactly how I look trying to pull mine up.
Ah the old if I can't have tomatoes, no one can. I like it. At my house it is the birds, not the squirrels that are the problem. They love my purple cherokee and black pearl cherry tomatoes. They leave the yellow varieties alone. Nothing makes you madder than going out and finding someone has been eating your hard-grown food.
I still have a 14-inch Zenith in my house. I have had it since college and it still works mostly great (the channels in the 40s go out 5 minutes after watching them). It has outlasted four other much larger televisions made in China. It even survived a lightning strike with no power strip, while a much newer TV on a power strip did not.
I know, I should. And I definitely will before I make my Oscar predictions. I treat the Golden Globes as a sort of kickoff for the Oscars. I like making the pics for the Globes blind just to see how close I came. Are you rooting for any certain one? Have you seen any of the movies and if you have what did you think?
I liked it. I like how the war is forcing everyone to change. And I can't believe that is the last we see of Bates. And did you notice that kissing foreshadowed later heartache. My favorite line of the Dowager Countess was "You're a lady, not Toad of Toad Hall." What did you guys think?

Buckelew: I have watched "Big Bang Theory" and found it funny. It just comes on on Thursdays when everything else does so I had to cut something.
Remote: I might have to check out "Hell on Wheels," I was a big fan of "Deadwood."
Mimio: I haven't really watched "Breaking Bad," but I know I should. I have been told it is the best thing on TV. I am thinking of catching up over the summer with Netflix.

Oh no. That is terrible. At least you got to enjoy some fried green tomatoes from them.
