Gwinnett County has used Due Diligence in the use of Splost Funds , One prime example is Sugar Loaf Parkway . Why let something lapse that is doing the citizens a service without the pain of a total tax increase. The Roads and equipment paid for by Splost is paid by the masses rather than just a few.

YOu need to remember when considering this referendum that the State has continuelly lied when getting new sales tax from its citizens and special purpose fees and taxes. Teh State has continued to place user fees in the General fund and not useing it for its intended purpose. Gwinnett County however has used the tax wisely and the results are evident in the projects they have completed . Yes to Gwinnett NO to the State of Georgia.

Cleanupguy your rhetoric is refreshing and has some good points but if you had been watching the history of this area you would understand the frustration of the people about this new tax . Ga 400 was voted on to allow the toll to pay for the road with the stipend that when the road was finished it would no longer be a toll road (By Law) . I 85 was a federally funded Hwy that was paid for by taxes and is now a toll road partially . Our leaders whom we elected have committed Theft in order to continue their careers ., IE Joshua's law and the public safety training fund that were voted on by us the voting public and then robbed to pay for something else . We voted on the use of these funds for a purpose and were lied to . Explain these away and you will convince me . Until then I will not vote for any new tax and will work diligently to get the people out of Office who have committed these Thefts .

Ga 400 was built with a promise that it would no longer be a toll road once it was paid for and now we are still paying. I 85 was built with taxpayer funds and now is a luxury lane for a select few . How many times will you be lied to before you say enough is enough.VOTE NO

Send the State a message that no longer will we vote for taxes they can spend the way they want. One Senator even said that he has always done this and still gets elected every election! HE is not up for election this year but will be soon . Please remember this arrogance and vote your conviction.

Until the State of Georgia changes the way it handles user fees I for one will never vote for another tax increase for anything . Look at the Public Safety user fee and the Joshua Law and see how you have been lied to and also Ga 400.

The State of Georgia is fooling itself if it thinks that the voters will give them another tax after they have misused the ones already in place IE the Public Safety user fee the 400 toll way and the I-85 fiasco. This tax will never go away and should be defeated at the polls. Our transportation problems will not go away until we make wise decisions and not deceive the voters .
