If the Falcons what a new stadium, then they can pay for the damn thing. Not a single taxpayer dollar should ever be used for a stadium anywhere. Taxpayers get the short end of every single case such as this. The jobs never materialize. The surrounding development is all smoke any mirror pipe dreams and theories that again rarely ever come to fruition. Say NO to any stadium deal that requires one dollar of public funding of ANY kind.
If Governor Deal and the states leadership know what is good for their political skins, they will refuse to comply with the law altogether as several other states have done. The state's majority electorate will not tolerate going along with the healthcare mandates.
Many of the Hispanic students can communicate verbally in their native tongue. However, they experience challenges when it comes to 'proper use of the language'. Many have challenges when it comes to the written language including proper sentence structure and other formalized usages. By having the native speakers participate in language classes, they can merge their verbal skills with the reasons, rules, and formal parts of their language to develop a well rounded understanding. This allows them to know the hows and whys as well as prepare them for life outside of their ethnic communities. Hopefully, it encourages them to assimilate or better participate in our society.
Call me whatever but I believe the vote's outcome was 4-0 because the sitting commissioners do not want to face the voters in November. They will hide until they have better footing on the other side of the election. Gwinnett, get rid of all sitting commissioners up for re-election. These are the people that didn't want or need your input to spend $60M on a baseball stadium, increased your property tax bills with sanitation services that should be paid directly to the haulers all the while our property values are down in some situations more than 50%, and would have shoved this privatization down your throat if not for Lassiter's resignation.
Clean house and put this issue to bed for good.
