SickandTired 1 year ago on Wilbanks talks furloughs, raises, safety

This is from a GDP article Jan.2012: The rest of the BOE needs to go too. Only in Gwinnett can a BOE member have his mugshot on the front page for FAILURE TO PAY CHILD SUPPORT!!!!

On Wednesday, the district released a copy of the contract, which details the terms and compensation for his employment with the school system from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2014.

His base salary is $348,259 per year, the same amount he was paid during the previous contract time period.

The superintendent's total compensation includes his base salary plus a cost of living increase equal to that of the average increase for teachers. Neither teachers nor Wilbanks received a cost of living increase in 2011.

A monthly retirement supplement of $3,500 is included in his base salary as well as a transportation allowance of $1,500 per month.

Wilbanks has been superintendent of Gwinnett County Public Schools since 1996.
