Can someone explain to me who makes the decision as to which children get into the charter schools. And do they allow special needs kids into those charter schools. As I'm sure most of you know the special needs programs at the schools are very expensive.
The school system used every dime it was given over the last 15 years. When they built the new high schools they came with large football stadiums, well equiped gyms, baseball fields and anything else they could think of. When Shiloh high was built it came with a gym that had a rubber floor. There was no stadium bulit for us, we had to play our games at South Gwinnett. Also Mill Creek is over crowded with trailers sitting out back to teach the students while two neighboring schools sit with empty classrooms. Seems crazy that we have to pay for these trailers.
