Missing 12-year-old girl found, reunited with parents March 11, 2014
In all of my dealings with Mike, he has been a no-nonsense, honest, straight shooter and he faces issues head-on without back-peddling. I've found him to be very knowledgeable on all facets of Gwinnett County business. If he doesn't know the answer, he will find it and get back with you. He has been a guest speaker at our Homeowners Association annual meeting and all were very impressed with his willingness to solve various issues that were of concern to our residents. In every case, he researched the issue, then promptly got back to the resident(s) with an answer. Although he has served two successful terms as a Commissioner, he is not your typical "bureaucrat politico" that pushes his own agenda that we have seen too often in elected positions. Mike has utilized his past experience on the Gwinnett County Commission to better understand the issues and vote responsibly to best respresent those in his precinct. I can say that I am proud of what he has done for our County, our seniors, and he has my backing for the future.
Heathera is right. The garbage plan has not been a burden. In fact I believe It has been less expensive than what I was paying before with a private hauler. And now we don't have all those trucks rumbling through our subdivision every day of the week. It's a one-stop service one day a week and it works fine. And instead of having to pay the bill every quarter, it just gets added to the property tax and is much more convenient.
