I do not have a facebook account and never will. It is just another avenue for the NSA to intrude into your private life in addition to their access to the path of this response. I am no fan of the progressive Mr. Zukerburg and have no intention of adding to his bottom line, unlike the GDP. Like the old saying goes "You are only as good as the company you keep". ADIOS AMIGOS..............

By the way---The Gwinnett Braves Popup has gone beyond being annoying, especially since the taxpayers footed the bill for this boondoggle. One last thank you to the commissioners who voted for the stadium, and especially to Mike.

Kent 10 months, 1 week ago on Commissioners catch chickens in Norcross neighborhood

LilburnLady let me add this. He would probably spend hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars to construct a chick tunnel so the chickens could cross the road safely. If I remember correctly, he gained experience on such projects with the tunnel he had built @ major taxpayer expense at his favorite private golf course hang out in S. Gwinnett.

Kent 10 months, 4 weeks ago on POLITICAL NOTEBOOK: Isakson: Georgians have lost confidence in the government

Johnny needs to look in the mirror and he will immediately see who is responsible for distrust of his constituents. He complains about the IRS, yet on his watch he keeps proposing to "reform" the IRS. Reform has been going on for decades and the corruption, complication, and costs, have gone off the chart. The IRS has been proven to not work, and a solution like the fair tax while not perfect, but it is sure an improvement over what we have now. He claims to support the fair tax, yet has basically done nothing to actively get it passed. I have yet to call his office and get specifics on any legislation which will cut the size of government and bring about major tax reform. His staffer is always vague and indicates the senator agrees that there needs to be reform. What else can we expect from a senator who takes his wife to Greenland on the taxpayer dime to first hand see the effect of climate change.

Kent 1 year, 1 month ago on Funding to increase for senior services

My question is, what have all these poor old seniors done all their life to make sure they can be self sufficient in their older years. It is all about decisions they made earlier which would have made them financially secure. Just because you are old does not entitle you to rob me just because I made the right decisions. Their lack of planning and sacrifice does not give them special rights to lessen my financial well being. Oh-let the children get all of grannys and grandpas assets in the childrens name so the children can get all the goodies and the taxpayers can pay for the old folks home, entertainment, and medical expenses. Then you have a Republican BOC who loves to buy geezer votes with taxpayer money. Shame on them and all you old farts who are all for increasing funding to the welfare state of Gwinnett county.

Kent 1 year, 1 month ago on Analysis: U.S. ethanol rules threaten gasoline supply crunch

Ethanol added to gasoline dramatically reduces fuel mileage. Lubrication to automotive fuel pumps is reduced resulting in failure of the pump, (I know this from my experience, and what mechanics have told me). It attracts moisture which harms the entire fuel system. The EPA requirement has also driven up food costs due to the fact grain is diverted away from feeding animals. I have repeatedly contacted our two Senators offices over the years, and suggested that at least the consumer be given a choice of buying gasoline without ethanol. The last contact with their offices was about a month ago and they will not even give a response of whether they still support the mandate. The answer is obvious. I will call again next week. The problem is that the majority of people do not realize the destructive effect ethanol is having on their cars and equipment, and not enough of those who do will make the effort to get changes made.

Why_not is demonstrating a classic example of the simple minded moochers who fully support Obama and all his disciples. Anyone who would use the vile vulgar term TEAbaggers demonstrates that they are certainly not the brightest light on the Christmas tree. When progs. can not logically support their left wing agenda they always revert to name calling.

Kent 1 year, 2 months ago on LETTERS: Fund schools by closing corporate tax loopholes

Dmoore----It is so good to see that there are some intelligent people out there like yourself who actually grasp the fact that corporations do not pay taxes. Most politicians and citizens are either too stupid to know this or are ignorant. Bet this letter is from an Obama supporter.

Kent 1 year, 2 months ago on Sen. Chambliss won't seek re-election

Mr. Chambliss is a legend in his own mind. He is a poster child for what is wrong with the Republican party. Both him and his pal Johnny (along with their spouses ) made junket trips to Greenland to see for themselves the effect of climate change with the taxpayers footing the bill. Saxby has made sure the farmers in Ga. get the maximum agriculture subsidies allowable. He has done nothing to cut the food stamp program which is completely out of control (the majority of ag. subsidies go to the so called food nutrition program). The cellulose to ethanol facilities in Ga. he promoted cost the taxpayers over $150 million dollars that they were left holding the bag for. He voted Y on the last fiscal cliff legislation. He gives lip service only to decreasing the size of government and actually cutting taxes. All those votes he brags about getting in 2008 is attributable to the fact that conservatives were casting their vote against his opponent rather than voting for this narcissistic political hack. These ares just a few examples how Saxby has serviced the people of GA.
