My opinion, as well as everyone else's on here is worth about 2 cents, so here it goes. We can debate what happen on Monday until we are blue in the face. It ultimately comes down to the internal investigation that is taking place. If the police did something wrong, it will come out in the investigation. And all of the findings will be made available to the family.
Mr. Pike was not perfect, no one is. He has struggled with addiction on and off for years as any addict does. His mom wanted him to get help, that was her ultimate goal with the phone call. The half hearted laughter you hear in the phone call was a nervous laugh, because this was one of the hardest calls she ever had to make.
Right now, the three children left behind are the most important regardless of everyone's feelings. They are precious and did not ask for any of this. So please keep in mind there is always more to the story than what you read or see on the news.
Again that is just my 2 cents.
Kat, you might want to do some more research. There are more facts that you don't have. However, you are entitled to your opinion based on what is public knowledge at this point.
