Mr. McCullough, I was touched by your article, and I wish you the best with your treatment. There is a wonderful organization in this area called the Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation. They provide monthly support groups and education for patients and their caregivers. They also raise funds for research. Their website is www.sbtf.org. />

Wrong. You cannot buy insurance as an individual that is cheaper than group health insurance. Your premiums and deductibles will be higher, and you will have pre-existing condition restrictions. The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) allows individuals to negotiate discounts similar to the discounts that employer based groups get. That is the purpose of states creating the exchanges. And by the way, "Let's require the citizens to get their own health care" is also part of Obamacare. In Massachusetts under Gov. Romney, individuals who were eligible for health insurance but chose not to purchase coverage faced tax penalties.

Jonder 1 year, 6 months ago on Gwinnett's lone shelter for men takes shape in downtown Lawrenceville

I applaud the city of Lawrenceville, Russell Gray and Bishop Harold Anderson for their efforts to provide a night shelter for men. This is an unmet need in Gwinnett. It addresses the larger problem of homelessness, and it will complement the services that are provided by the Quinn House, Family Promise, Meet the Need, and Rainbow Village. I was on the square last weekend for the Rock and Rib Festival, and the core of the city appeared lively, vibrant, and far from crumbling. Quinn House has been a good neighbor in downtown Lawrenceville for two decades. A six bed shelter won't hurt our city.

Amen to that. The kettle endorsed the (crack)pot. And now Newt takes credit for gas prices from 15 years ago? Shameless.
