And a good number of parents are the SOLUTION in their child's education; as they refuse all forms of government education and do the right thing by homeschooling them! Just look at the statistics of homeschoolers vs. government educated children.
I hope this task force will work on the feral cat problem, as well as the problem with people who own cats but simply let them roam the neighborhood dirtying and destroying other people's yards. There has to be something for homeowners who do not want cats on their property to do to defend against irresponsible cat owners.
Before I was a homeschooler, I had the unfortunate experience of having my 2 older children enrolled in GCPS. Having moved into GCPS from out-of-state, I can tell you this was the worst system in which my children were enrolled. Despite my MANY attempts to be a participant in PTA, curriculum reviews, etc. it quickly became apparent that unless I was there to support the establishment, my input was not welcome. Thus, my 3rd child is homeschooled and the 2 older children are successful in life despite GCPS who did nothing for them but try to undermine their education at every turn.
I'm not Gwinnettisgreat, but my definition of "well educated" children would be the homeschooled children who never set foot in government schools.
