Having served on the TAC, nothing the teachers say or want is ever valued or implemented. It's a half-hearted attempt to give the teachers a voice but it's a sham. If the school system could produce a list of TAC proposals that have been implemented, that would be a first and of course, false. Because the only people who have any say are Mr. Potter and the the BOE.
It is riduculous for GCPS to give only two months notice for Graduations. 8 am and 8 pm graduations, really? really?
I suggest more schools should just have them on their own campuses. Sure weather is a concern, but if you are proactive you could have a couple of days and options to chose from. I guess that would cause them to be proactive.
And can anyone tell me if GCPS pays to use the facility and if so, how much?
The Problem with the President is that he has never been a leader or chief executive. He is content to let the Democratic leadership dicatate what to do while he has beers with constituents, fills out tournament brackets and just tries to seem cool to his young fan base.
Serious problems need serious men and this president has shown time and again he does not possess the mental DNA to be president. Aside from his health care plan, which was a slam dunk by the democrats in the house and congress (before the 2010 elections flipped the house), this president has basically done nothing.
While Diamond is a great HS player, I would caution against such superlatives as the next MJ or the next Maya Moore. She has a lot of growing up to do. Let's allow her the space to be herself.
What the citizens of this state fail to comprehend is that we are on the path to becoming LA and Chicago with is massive corruption due to state agencies, such as the DOT diving for every dollar and making their cities unlivable for average citizens. Pretty soon we will be Detroit, but luckily I will be long gone from this cash grab. And that is all this is, a cash grab by a government program that is more interest in sustaining itself than what is in the best interest of the citizens.

I really think someone from the GHSA needs to look into the permissive transfers.
