So taxing people who make more than you is the answer. Put yourself in their shoes a minute. You work hard and sacrifice with delayed gratification. Then people come forward and say you are "filthy rich" and need to pay more. But at the same time, some lady is filmed in Ohio and broadcast on every news outlet how a we need to vote to keep things like "Obama-phones" which are free from the government. Wouldn't you, as someone who has had to work hard for what you have earned, feel a little disheartened to see how this lady wants to reach into your pocket and take what is yours so they can get something perceived as "free". I am nowhere near the top earning bracket, or the several below that, but I know right from wrong. We have progressed down a slippery slope of giving too much "free" stuff away. Do you think when the government raises the tax rate on the wealthy and it doesn't make a dent in the deficit it will stop there? Nope. It will continue to be raised and snare more levels of producers into higher taxes. It won't stop. OK it will, when all the producers have had enough and either leave the US or quit producing. Fact is - We don't have a tax problem. We have a spending problem. And as far as Republicans rewarding donors - how much did the current administration dole out to his top donors, and still doing it? Solyndra? UAW? Taking by force from others to give to the chosen few. That's a leveled playing field, isn't it.
Why doesn't Suwanee just buy the Chevron station on the corner of Larryville-Suwanee Rd.and I-85 This is the revenue generating ticket writing spot where the victims pull into. The constant flashing blue lights in their parking lot can't be helping the store's biz. At least pay them rent for the lot.
These Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Trainers, Team Mom's, and association volunteers along with the parents and participants should all get a pat on the back for making the GFL a success. We spent many years as a family participating in football and cheer and it takes a lot of time and commitment to make this program a success. Even though our kids have moved on to high school, I still love to see the cars with the team's flags affixed to the windows as they caravan to the different parks on Saturdays'. Puts a big smile on my face. Congrats to the champs ! See 'ya next year.
Way to go "Rocky" Well deserved. Congrats to him and Jesse Frazier.
"Tea and Beer usually ends up with Tears". That's interesting.
Don't you know those D1 programs that visited Gwinnett's HS programs and never made the trip to Collins Hill to see Heinicke are kicking their own posterior today? Everybody was looking for that Cam/Tebow size QB that was all the rage at the time. Heinicke's 6 foot frame supporting that laser guided throwing arm and radar type vision could be producing some "W's" for them right now. Way to go Heinicke! Way to go Monarch's for seeing the talent in this kid!
"Nkemdiche is the greatest football player to ever come through Gwinnett County" ? I watched Jeff Francoeur making some amazing pass receptions and then pick off the opposing passers attempts multiple times. Or Taylor Heinicke and David Greene setting state records at QB. George Rogers was pretty good in his day too. Don't get me wrong, Nkemdiche is an outstanding player, but may be a little presumptive on that statement. I look forward to seeing what this young man can do his senior year. One more note - I have already placed my wager with my bookie Clemson WILL NOT be the school he ends up at.
Good luck guys !!
Georgia Outdoor News Blast at the Gwinnett Civic Center. If you like hunting and fishing, this is your place. Always a big crowd when held annually in Macon. This should be bigger and better. Look for me there. I will be wearing cammo.
This is AWESOME ! Good job GFL.
