Just the opposite. But then again, he IS a great addition to CHHS football if you consider character and values.

He is a popular football player, but, by far, this is not a popularity contest. I think most understand the law and don't blame the police, and also appreciate the GDP reporting this from a personal side and not as a typical crime story. We just know that charges and threat of possible punishment would pale in comparison to what Amadi has faced in the past few years.

This cannot be happening ! Amadi IS a great kid. His father had some health issues and I am sure Amadi was doing exactly what Bruce wanted him to do - drive him home. Bruce was a great father and loved his kids more than anything. To arrest Amadi and charge him with his death is a travesty. Danny Porter - there is nothing to gain with going through with this. And please don't think I am saying this because Amadi is a great addition to CHHS football. I am saying this because we know the family, we knew and loved Bruce, and we know Amadi would do anything for his Dad. Hang in there Amadi !!! This community will stand beside you all the way through this.

Great job the DNR does ! Just remember, the protection and restocking of wildlife in Georgia is primarily funded by hunting and fishing licenses. This includes land purchases for Wildlife Management Areas for all to enjoy (bird watching, horseback riding, camping, etc.) Want to really impact a kids life and spend some great family time together .... take a kid fishing !

Would have been a happier ending if these low life thugs had been hit like bowling pins with her car.

Domestic violence is so sad. I really hope she will follow through with pressing charges on him. Looks like another high-profile celebrity home in Surgarloaf going into foreclosure and on the market soon.

Unfortunately, there is no incentive to have a high school diploma. Cell phone paid for, college standards lowered if you can claim a disadvantage, healthcare paid for, extensive benefits NOT to achieve. Seriously, why should any 17 or 18 year old work toward something when now there is a catch-all for those who don't want to put any effort into trying to better themselves. All we do now is vote to get financial equality from those who have worked to earn it. Do you think I'm kidding. I had a student tell me the other day he does not think college is necessary any more because with our current president, "things are going to be a lot EASIER TO GET"?!!! Yes, as a society, we have "built that" mentality into our children. And now high school isn't as important either. We all now live on Easy Street.

Jan - big difference in earned income and income on investments (capital gains). Romney and Buffet are getting taxed on INVESTED money working at a risk, so it is taxed lower. Watch what you ask for. Your IRA's and 401k's are taxed this way when traded by the brokers. Tax it more, and your retirement dollars shrink. Take away the tax advantage for putting money at more risk and the pool of money used to start businesses and invest in new ideas drys up. See - taxing the achievers has a trickle down effect. It feels good to punish those who have earned and have more, but that self gratification hurts so many others in the long haul. So many people forget the "luxury tax' in the early 90's placed on Americans who bought expensive things. The American yacht builders (and the jobs with it) vanished because the taxes on the items they built were taxed as a luxury. Those who could afford the yachts were pretty smart. They bought their yachts from builders in the Bahamas, Caymans, and other places where this "stick it to 'em" tax was not in place. More money was lost that collected. Felt good to get even with the achievers, but look who lost the most. It sounds simple and great, but the end result is nill.
