Between the three women how many kids? How many prior arrests? These are the people that will run into you on the road and kill your family. They should be in jail making license plates and their kids should be in foster care but instead they are already bailed out, back on the road and doing it all again. Why do judges keep putting these pieces of human garbage back out on the road to kill the rest of us?

The Post Office is out dated and not needed in large measure. They could cut back far more on residential service and focus on business shipping where they could make a profit. The Internet has taken over what the Post Office used to do. Just like libraries, the Post Office is now largely irrelevant.

I've driven through the Ash-Dun interchange many times. It works like a champ. I was skeptical but I'm a believer now.

You could lay off at least 1/3 of support staff and use technology like the private sector to cut costs. Savings could be used to keep taxes constant and raise the salaries of truly essential personnel (cops, fire fighters, teachers). Every time I've ever been in a county office they have been polite but have a lot of people not doing much.

Kids killing each other execution style and I am the problem? When our kids culturally think there's no problem killing each other just call somebody a racist (or a Republican) then pretend there's no culpability with the culture of violence that these kids see/hear every day in videos, movies, rap songs, etc? Sorry Coolray but do you think our kids got the idea that killing each other is OK from Congress or do you think maybe, just maybe, it might be from the rappers, thugs and drug lords that've set up shop in ATL? It is always easier to blame somebody else than look in the mirror isn't it?

Until the black community realizes that their own kids are murdering each other over stuff like sneakers or dope transactions and starts to emphasize education, two parent households, real work ethics and something other than playing football as a life goal we'll just see more of this nonsense. Lest I be called a racist I'd like to point out that the white and Latino communities need to realize the same damn thing.

Saw him last time he was here. Most boring concert I've ever attended in my life. He played with the enthusiasm I would display while cleaning the hardwood floors. I'd always wanted to see Clapton but I walked away feeling cheated.

Really? Tea Poopies? Benefitted the most? Do you listen to yourself when you type? Again, you can't tax your way into prosperity. You may run a little more or less deficit but JOBS and BALANCE OF TRADE determine how well our economy does. As to benefitted? I've benefitted from educating myself, working hard, paying a load of taxes, and never taking a cent of government payoff - but now I need to pay more? Please.

OK everyone - time for economics 101.

The only way anything will ever get better is to keep our own money at home (instead of sending it to China and the Middle East) and to make things that you can sell to others (those are called exports). Anything that keeps our own working capital here or brings in working capital from abroad creates jobs. The way you make these changes is to enact tax and regulatory policies that make it easy to do business in the US so that global business will locate here and employ US workers. The other thing that has to happen is for us to quit buying all the cheap Chinese crap and produce our own energy.

To summarize: Make it easy to do business in the US. Produce our own energy. Make our own stuff and quit buying cheap imported crap.

No amount of taxing the rich or stimulus spending accomplishes any of these goals (especially spending on green energy companies that build cars in Finland or go broke). No amount of railing on about abortion or prayer in schools will accomplish these goals. No amount of food stamps or welfare state expansion will accomplish these goals. This is why no amount of Obama or Romney will do much of anything - but Romney at least had more of a clue than Obama.

What we need is an uprising of the public to elect leaders (from whichever party) who understand econ 101 and will quit pandering to the far left and far right nut jobs. I have little faith that any of this will happen because more people get a check these days than send one in and the Republican Party continues to nominate people who are more worried about imposing their religious views than fixing the economy.

There you go CLEANUPGUY. That's what we need to do. Off soapbox.
