CLINE: Give anthem respect or Brooks will chide you

It was in response to a previous letter on the same subject that took to task some Olympians for what the letter writer felt was lackluster enthusiasm in singing the anthem during medal ceremonies. Not many of us have been put to the test, but for several locals that question is no longer hypothetical. On Thursday, four individuals were recognized by the Gwinnett County Fire Department for their heroic actions in such situations. Later that same day, Marie Payne showed similar valor, saving a man’s life on Interstate 85. (Full Story)

But before you question his sanity, consider his volunteer position as one of the organizers for the Run The Reagan road race.
