The colors of fall have been especially radiant this year. The season's change has produced a marvelous pallet of color and richness to our community. The fall of the year has always been a most favorite time of the year to me personally.

As I write this column, our community and nation are struggling with great uncertainty in our lives. The unstable financial market continues to consume our daily thoughts. It hardly seems possible that we are already racing through the last quarter of 2008.

People helping people: Fall begins a season of giving

The mornings are crisp and cool - a sure sign fall is in the air. This season of color has always been my favorite. Folks seem to feel better and are more energized in the fall of the year. It must be God's way of creating an exhilarating and peaceful time to prepare the community for the cold days of winter.
