A group that aims to strive for better air quality is encouraging Gwinnett County residents this weekend to "dump the pump" in an effort to raise awareness about transit options.

Following theft corporation donates to soccer club
Members of the Gwinnett Soccer Association got a free lunch Monday compliments of Church's Chicken. After learning that funds had been stolen from the team during a car break-in June 9, the corporation reached out and donated $4,000. The team's coach said the community as a whole has been supportive following the incident.

Melissa Huneycutt, a teacher from Brookwood High School, was recently selected to the 2013 LearnZillion Dream Team. She'll join 200 others from across the country who were chosen for the honor, for which she won an all-expense paid ticket to San Fransicso to attend a conference for fellow winners.
Grayson's Christmas in July coming soon
The sixth annual Christmas in July is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 27 at the Grayson Arts and History Center, an event that offers Christmas deals five months before the holiday in an effort to help folks get a jumpstart on the holiday season.
